Melbourne City Ballet’s Michael Pappalardo (Artistic Director) and Brendan Bradshaw (Artistic Associate) pay homage to the well known novel by Lewis Carroll, “Alice In Wonderland”, with this enchanting ballet complimented by one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous scores. ”Alice In Wonderland” tells the story of a young girl who is whisked away to a magical world of wonder. Falling through a rabbit hole she meets magical creatures both strange and mysterious on her adventure to find her way home.
As part of Melbourne City Ballet’s 2019 season we will once again be hosting community participation workshops at each theatre prior to the show.
These workshops are hosted by current company dancers and staff members with Melbourne City Ballet and are aimed at dancers aged 8 to 18 years old.
Within the workshop participants will learn choreography from the show. The workshop will run for approximately 1 hour.
At the conclusion of the workshop a handful of lucky dancers will be chosen to perform with the company that night.
The workshop will be held on the RFAC stage at 3:00pm on 30 March.
